Hello dearest bloggy friends!
This post will have very little to do with sewing. Partly because I'm fighting with some very unsticky tape whilst basting. Grrrr. So really, I'm not in the mood to blog about wasting time taping and watching the tape untape itself then running around the house looking for more unsticky tape only for the cycle to repeated over and over again....

White masking tape=bad. Blue painter's tape = good.
Anyhoo, since I'm a little sour over tape hopefully this will cheer us all up... ANOTHER GIVEAWAY!
Because I'm in a non-sewing mood, let's talk about... oh I don't know... entertainment centers! Racks and Stands.com has oodles of options for old school TVs and those of you with new-fangled skinny TVs. Personally, my (very) old school TV is shoved in a corner of the room behind the couch, blocking the lower left quarter of the screen. Which makes it quite humerous to me that this giveaway features something that I want but can't have.... oh so close!
So if any of you have a similar problem or would just like a sweet update, leave a comment here and I'll have Iz pull a winner out of the hat Friday morning. The winner will receive a $40 gift certificate to use in any CSN stores (US and Canadian addresses only, please).
GIVEAWAY #2... May 17th is Sew Mama Sew's MAY GIVEAWAY DAY! I'm giving away some fabric. CLICK ON THIS to enter that one.
Both contests open to US and Canadian residents only.
And I saved the best for last... Happy Birthday, friend! (It would be totally rad of you to send her some birthday love!)
Isn't that picnic blanket of hers adorable?!
I would like to enter for the CSN Stores ceertificate.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the giveaway

I have the same problem ... No place for the TV. But since mine is not only very old school but also very small, it can be moved around quite easily. Thanks for the chance to win this giveaway. Your blog makes me smile. thorandellie[at]gmail[dot]com

That wall color is the most beautiful, cheerful color I have ever seen. It must make you feel relaxed just to live in that room.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win a gift certificate for an entertainment center! We have been looking for one FOREVER.
ReplyDeleteI have my TV on a long cabinet - it fits, but it looks sort of out of place. I'd love to win the giveaway!

My tv is also in a corner, blocked by the couch a tad. I thought I was the only one. I think the tv is serving more of a childproofing purpose at the moment. So please, count me in on this!

I'd love to win either giveaway! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Our (very old school) TV sits on a hideous red metal rolling cart that belonged to my fiance's mother when she was in college. We keep it all covered with a fun piece of fabric and when our (20-something) friends come over they are all baffled by the arrangement. I'd love to win the gift card and spruce up that corner. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteOh how totally frustrating about the tape. I never buy that old type masking tape anymore. It seems that I always get the roll like yours OR most often, the one that won't come off the roll in one piece. It comes off in litte strips making me waste more time and tape than actually doing anything. UGH I don't know why they bother selling that stuff anymore if they can't make it right. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteAbout the tv in the corner ~ I have a lack of space in one of our bedrooms so I've had to put the tv on top of the dresser. Oh that looks just super classy for guests. LOL
Thank you for your inspiring web blog!
ReplyDeleteThat'd be neat! Thanks for the chance to win!

ReplyDeleteI'm newly introduced to CSN but it looks awesome. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOooh, CSN looks fabulous! Your home looks lovely even with your hidden TV - just means you won't be tempted by it, right?
ReplyDeletethanks for the nice giveaway! :)
ReplyDeletelove CSN items, I want the black and decker iron for my sewing room... oh and blue painters tape is meant to not stick real well. so it isn't you it is the way the tape is....
ReplyDeleteWhen my parents got a fancy new fangled TV they gave us the TV and entertainment center we had growing up. The TV is still going strong, and its kinda homey to have a large piece of furniture from my childhood in my own house.
ReplyDeleteBe blessed!
I've never heard of CSN, but I will have to check it out! I don't need an entertainment center, but I am sure I can find something to buy!
ReplyDeleteCSN is great! would love to win-thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteYeah, our TV is totally hidden behind the couch right now, too. We don't even have it plugged in. Silly small apartment! :-) Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway. My nightmare was on my first quilt...it turned out beautiful but couldn't figure out why I couldn't finish it...the reason was b/c I cut the bottom to fit the top...now I have a quilt I can't get binding on! :(

ReplyDeletethanks for the giveaway. I love to sewing almost anything - even mending. But my favorite is sewing for my two girls. I don't get as much time as I would like though (that's why I have to be content with mending LOL). But I know this wasn't about sewing, I hope today is a better day for you.

my den is a nightmare too. I've got a PIANO to contend with as well as seating for zillions...we have six kids, some with spouses and kids of their own....I got rid of my entertainment center and stuck the tv on top of the piano...want to get one of those tv shelves to put up in the corner inventually I think...or have hubby build me corner shelves strong enough to hold up a tv and it's excess componets....put all the videos/dvds on shelves behind the door...
ReplyDeleteYes, please!

We still have a ridiculously large boxy tv. A CSN certificate would be fun!
ReplyDeleteCSN stores have everything! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI have had the same problem with tape on my glossy tile floors. Solution... I used 2 inch wide masking tape and taped solid on all four side burnishing the tape down! LOL As for your TV... you can mount it up on the upper corner wall area OR raise the TV stand somehow? OR remove the arm of the counch (professionally of course), makes it a nice lounge and you see your TV! Keep the arm to reattach if needed! LOL! Love the give away!
